Background Music Player
By J.L. White
(C)1987 Merlin's Software
Ever since I got my Amiga (in early 86) I have been doing alot of Graphics.
I always wanted to run music in the background of my slide shows. Since my
Bordello pictures have become so popular I thought it would be neat to play
the Stripper in the back ground but the only players were either the editors
for digitized music or one where you had to enter the filename then enter the
period, repeat, and volume. I wanted one to use in a startup-sequence where
all you had to do is enter the filename and nothing else. Well I started
playing with the c files supplied on the FutureSound disk and came up with
these two versions of BMP. BMP will play any FutureSound or IFF sound file.
It will loop through the sound again and again until you close the window.
BMP2 will play the sound only once. If you use BMP to loop you may need to
edit your sound file to smooth out the ends a little. I hope these come in
as handy for you as they have for me.
These are not Public Domain but can be given out freely to anyone that has
a use for them. If you have any comments you can contact me as BODEAN on
